Evelyn Freeman, PHR
As the Senior Director of HR & Operations, Evelyn leads with years of HR knowledge and a passion for helping people to ensure the success of Refugee Services of Texas. Evelyn first joined RST in 2015 as HR Coordinator, and her role has continued to grow and change over the years. She most recently served as RST’s Director of Operations before assuming her current position. Evelyn facilitates daily operations for all our offices across the state and actively fosters collaboration between our many departments.
Born and raised in Dallas, Evelyn is honored to continue giving back to the city and state she calls home. A 2015 graduate of Boston University, Evelyn studied International Relations focused on regional politics, cultural anthropology, and North Africa & the Middle East. After her time in Boston, she felt pulled back to Texas and began working for the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas until she jumped on the opportunity to join the RST team. In her free time, Evelyn enjoys traveling anywhere and everywhere, enjoying all the diverse culinary spaces Dallas offers, and volunteering at the Dallas Public Library.
