Amplify Austin

Join RST for Amplify Austin Day 2023!

When: March 1 - 2, 6 PM - 6 PM

Where to give: On our Amplify Austin Profile

What: Supporting your favorite central Texas nonprofit! Every donation given to RST will help restore funds to assist survivors of human trafficking, and other displaced populations, in Texas.

What is Amplify Austin?

Amplify Austin is the biggest giving event in central Texas. During a single 24-hour period, from 6 pm on March 1st to 6 pm on March 2nd, residents across a seven-county region will come together to support more than 700 nonprofits by making a donation through the platform, AmplifyATX.org.

Join us as we count down to Amplify Austin and be part of RST's 40+ year tradition of welcoming and serving refugees, asylees, and survivors of trafficking across the state of Texas!

With your help, we can reach our goal of raising $30K that will directly impact each family who walks through our doors hoping to create a fresh start.

It takes a community to welcome refugees:

Your support enables RST to provide crucial services and programs to many vulnerable populations in Austin. In the last 18 months, our community has partnered with us to welcome over 1,000 new individuals, many having come from the Afghan evacuation. Because of our community, we have provided families and individuals with a place to call home, access to English learning and medical services, resources for job readiness, food and other critical basic needs for self-sufficiency, and so much more.

We need your help:

Since 2004, RST Austin has played a significant role in the community in fighting human trafficking and supporting survivors. Federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies rely on RST's 24-hour, on-call coverage to coordinate survivor-centered responses when survivors are identified. RST regularly participates in inspections and operations with local law enforcement and other state agencies and offers comprehensive case management to help survivors thrive.

This year, we are facing significant budget cuts for our anti-trafficking program (STEP: Survivors of Trafficking Empowerment Program), and we are urgently seeking financial support to continue providing these much-needed services not only to assist law enforcement but, more importantly, to support the survivors who rely on RST in Austin during their transition to a stable life. A gift to RST is a gift to all the adults and children who depend on the services and programs we provide on a daily basis.

How you can help:

  1. Follow us on Social Media
  2. Share our Amplify Austin profile link,
  3. Attend one of RST's official Amplify Austin events,
  4. Or create a personal fundraising page for RST on AmplifyATX.org*! Share your page with family, friends, and co-workers to raise funds for Refugee Services of Texas.

*If you are interested in becoming a FUNdraiser for RST during Amplify Austin with your faith community, business, or as an individual, download Amplify's Fundraiser Guide and download the items in our Media Kit!

Jester King Noble Cause

Noble Cause is Jester King's monthly initiative to support local charities and nonprofits. For the entire month of February, Jester King will donate $1 of every pour of "Noble King" to Refugee Services of Texas! Come one, come all to support a Noble Cause! Refugee Services of Texas representatives will be tabling at Jester King on Friday, February 24th, so come say hi!

Jester King is also hosting a Super Bowl LVII Party. They'll have Jester King beer, specialty cocktails, and (of course) football. On top of that, there will be square sign-ups for $5, to which the proceeds will be donated to Refugee Services of Texas!

Amy's Ice Cream and Phil's Ice House Benefit

We are partnering with Phils' Icehouse and Amy's Ice Cream on Burnet Road (5624 Burnet Rd, 78756) on February 28 for an all-day benefit event to kick off Amplify Austin. RST will receive 15% of the day's sales if we reach 50 check-ins** at Amy's & 50 check-ins at Phil's! Invite friends and family to check in by mentioning Refugee Services or RST at the register of Phil’s and Amy’s OR in the chef’s notes section of an online order for curbside pickup/home delivery.

**Check-In Details

A check-in is counted for each person who orders a dessert or an entree. That means a family of 4 paying together would count as 4 separate check-ins.

To show our appreciation for attending our benefit event, you will receive an entry into our raffle if you visit Amy's or Phil's or order online and mention RST! For every order you will receive an entry into the raffle, and if you visit Amy's AND Phil's you will receive entries for both. If you have any questions about our raffle, please contact Hope Goldman at hgoldman@rstx.org.

Raffle Prizes

RST has partnered with some INCREDIBLE in-kind donors to bring you a one-of-a-kind basket FULL of prizes! Thank you to our generous sponsors who have donated items for our raffle.
