What We Do

Austin Jews for Refugees Assembly

Sunday, February 2, 2020

Shalom Austin JCC

After almost three years of attacks on the U.S. refugee and asylum programs, the number of refugees entering the country has dramatically slowed and asylum-seeking families have been torn apart at our southern border. At this time of unprecedented need, the U.S. is failing to meet a basic obligation to victims of war, terror, torture, and persecution. Now our community is taking a stand.

Join HIAS, Refugee Services of Texas, elected officials, refugee speakers, policy and legal experts, community leaders, and the Austin Jewish community, to sound a rallying cry to the leadership of our country that we must continue to welcome people who are seeking refuge. Hope to see you there!
