RST Book Club: Plated Stories: Legacies from Home to Table

Refugee Services of Texas invites you all to our book club featuring Plated Stories: Legacies from Home to Table which features over 20 stories and 50 recipes shared by refugees, survivors of trafficking and asylum seekers across the state of Texas. During this event, you will hear from members of the creative team as well as some of the formerly displaced persons who have so kindly contributed their recipes and stories. World Refugee Day - Houston

Join Refugee Services of Texas and the Houston Consortium which includes a few other resettlement agencies (YMCA, Interfaith Ministries, The Alliance and The Bilingual Education Institute) in celebration of World Refugee Day. WRD this year will consist of a weeklong celebration from June 13th-June 20th. More details will be shared in the coming weeks!
World Refugee Day - Dallas

Join us for Dallas World Refugee Day festivities on Saturday, June 18th from 9am-12pm in partnership with other local refugee organizations.
Commemorate World Refugee Day at Trinity Fellowship Church with free food, music, soccer, basketball, face painting, and fun educational activities for families with kids of all ages. Join us in honoring refugees from around the globe!
*Note: The location for this event has changed, and is no longer at Emmet J Conrad High School. The event will be held at Trinity Fellowship Church.
World Refugee Day - San Antonio

World Refugee Day - Fort Worth

Join us for Fort Worth World Refugee Day festivities on Saturday, June 18th. Partnering with other refugee organizations, there will be fun and educational activities for our clients and members of the community of all ages, food, and advocacy opportunities. Festivities will take place at University Christian Church on the 18th from 10am-3pm.

World Refugee Day - Austin

Join the Austin Refugee Roundtable and the Bullock Museum on June 18th from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm for a free celebration of World Refugee Day.
Commemorate the United Nations' World Refugee Day at the Bullock Museum with a naturalization ceremony, free samples of world cuisine, live music, and activities for families with kids of all ages. Join us in honoring refugees from around the globe!
Houston World Refugee Day Potluck and Resource Fair

You're invited to join us in celebration of World Refugee Day and of the contributions new American farmers are making to Houston's food system! Come for a community potluck dinner and learn more about the Refugee resettlement process from local advocacy groups such as Combined Arms SIV & Allies, PAIR, FAM, UNICEF, Catholic Charities, Sudanese Chamber of Commerce, and RST!
