Arturo García Menéndez

RST is celebrating 40 years of open hearts and fresh starts this year. In honor of our 40th anniversary, RST is looking back on the history of refugees and the contributions they have made to the world.

García was born Andrés Arturo García Menéndez in Havana, Cuba. When García was five years old, the family moved to Miami, Florida, after the failed Bay of Pigs invasion. García began acting at Florida International University but soon went to Hollywood. García was nominated at the Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Godfather III on March 25th, 1991.
