Wyclef Jean

Nel Ust Wyclef Jean, better known by his professional name, Wyclef Jean, is a Haitian rapper, musician and actor. At the age of nine, Jean immigrated as a child to the United States with his family and settled there. He first achieved fame as a member of the New Jersey hip hop group the Fugees. Deriving their name from the term refugee, Jean and Michel are Haitian, while Hill is American. Wyclef and the Fugees release their second album "The Score" on February 13th, 1996.

RST is celebrating 40 years of open hearts and fresh starts this year. In honor of our 40th anniversary, RST is looking back on the history of refugees and the contributions they have made to the world.
