Resettlement Program Internship

FAITH COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT INTERNSHIP
The intern will engage with the faith community to engage faith members in community and resource mobilization, send out weekly newsletters to volunteers and other community members, and introduce different faith groups to RST’s mission and work, including but not limited to local and regional churches, mosques, synagogues, temples and faith orientated organizations. REFUGEE CASH ASSISTANCE INTERNSHIP
Refugee Services of Texas in Dallas is seeking an organized and culturally sensitive intern to join its dynamic team either part-time or full-time in its Dallas office. A Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA) intern works with clients who have been in the U.S. for less than eight months and are eligible to receive cash assistance. ADULT EDUCATION ORIENTATION INTERNSHIP
Assist with Cultural Orientation workshops and English as a Second Language classes. Our CO Workshops provide refugees with an opportunity to learn about life in America, what to expect, and to also meet with other refugees experiencing the ups and downs of refugee resettlement. SOCIAL ADJUSTMENT SERVICES INTERNSHIP
Interns will work closely with Social Adjustment Services Case Managers to ensure clients have access to medical services and care. Communicate with city and state agencies to coordinate housing and medical services, provide transportation, and help mentor a family or individual. This position is open to students who are willing to lead in a continued effort to orientate refugees so that they may become self-sufficient and integrate successfully into their new community.
