Internships
Refugee Services of Texas offers semester and summer internships. Interns must be sensitive to clients' cultural and linguistic differences and be aware of proper boundaries for interaction. School credit is available with qualifying universities, but student status is not required. Stipends are not available, but mileage reimbursement is possible.
Administration
Grants and Funder Relations Intern
RST is seeking internship candidates who aspire to gain more experience in grant and funding research, writing and reporting. The intern will collaborate with the Corporate and Foundation Relations Manager and other development staff to perform tasks related to prospect research, proposal development, and stewardship/reporting, in addition to general development tasks. RST is seeking internship candidates who aspire to gain more experience in fundraising and philanthropic work. The intern will collaborate with the Development Associate and other development staff to perform tasks related to donor stewardship, prospecting new supporter connections, event planning, Advisory Council management throughout the state, data management, and facilitating service center tours. Marketing and Development Intern
RST is seeking internship candidates who aspire to gain more experience in raising support, awareness, and funding for the agency and those we serve through the creation of meaningful, mission-focused content. The intern will collaborate with the Marketing and Communications Manager and other development staff to perform tasks related to social media management, visual and written content creation, prospecting new marketing and sponsorship connections, event planning, website management, and more. Case Aid Intern
RST is seeking a case aide intern to assist with their various programs. Internship duties consist of assisting newly-arrived individuals with social services, cultural orientations, school enrollment, and community integration. Interns may assist clients in scheduling transportation to health appointments, apartment set-ups, or other services related to helping refugee clients attain self-sufficiency in the United States. Resettlement Case Aid Internship

Duties also consist of assisting newly arrived individuals with job development, job search, applying for jobs, going to job interviews, or other services related to helping clients find employment and attain self-sufficiency in the United States. Preferred Communities (PC) Internship
The PC intern will gain experience working with vulnerable populations such as single mothers, the severely disabled, or other populations that the RST site decides to focus on and will have opportunities to shadow our incredible case management team. Duties will include assisting the Community Engagement Coordinator with volunteer management, clinic missions, event planning, and aiding in volunteer events and activities for the PC Program such as workshops, vision, and dental clinic events, PC volunteer orientation and meetings, and more. Refugee Cash Assistance Case Aid Internship
Refugee Services of Texas in Dallas is seeking an organized and culturally sensitive intern to join its dynamic team either part-time or full-time in its Dallas office. A Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA) intern works with clients who have been in the U.S. for less than eight months and are eligible to receive cash assistance.
