COMMUNITY WELLNESS PROGRAM
The Community Wellness Program at Refugee Services of Texas Austin offers counseling and support services at no cost to refugees, asylees, trafficking survivors, and Cuban entrants who may face difficulty adjusting within their first five years of resettling.
Our services are all trauma informed and customized to the individual needs of clients. We offer client-focused treatment and support programs, including counseling and crisis-intervention.
The Community Wellness Program (CWP) was made to help meet the needs of RST clients and the Austin, Texas community. The program provides care to those who may not have access to support. Existing mental health problems can be made worse through war and conflict, whether or not you may have existing mental health problems. It is very common to experience culture shock and problems coping with adjusting in the first year of moving to the United States. Services provided through the Community Wellness Program provides support to help deal with these experiences.
